Webtrix.au is owned by Murray Barnes, whose professional website development foundations began in 1998.
The person behind the code
MURRAY BARNES
Murray made his first professional website in 1998. In 2001 he moved to Europe and worked at the European head office of a billion-dollar United States company in the Netherlands.
As Head Web Developer, Murray looked after websites covering 18 countries in 16 languages. He also developed an internal intranet for six European offices while continuing to build and maintain websites for his own clients in several countries.
Murray’s technical background includes Microsoft Certified Database Administrator, Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator and Microsoft Certified Professional credentials.

Technology has changed repeatedly. The focus has stayed on building useful websites and supporting the businesses that rely on them.
EUROPEAN HEAD WEB DEVELOPER
Based in the Netherlands, Murray manages websites across 18 countries and 16 languages and develops an intranet serving six European offices.
WEBTRIX IS ESTABLISHED
Murray returns to Australia and starts Webtrix Technologies, serving Australian and international clients.
THE WEBTRIX CONTENT MANAGEMENT SYSTEM
Murray builds the Webtrix Content Management System from scratch and continues developing and operating it for 15 years.

Webtrix focuses on responsive hand-coded websites, managed hosting, email and direct support, presented under the simpler Webtrix.au brand.

Over many years, most Webtrix clients did not want to spend their own time learning a content management system and updating their website. They wanted to send through a change and have it handled correctly.
That is why standard website hosting and maintenance now includes up to four minor updates each year. Clients get a professionally managed website without needing to learn publishing software or worry about plugin updates.
